In Star Citizen, I've been having issues with jerking while flying. 1.1.14 worked fine.

My graphics card is a GeForce GTX 750 Ti. I have the latest driver. I'm running Windows 7.

In MSI Afterburner, it looks like my GPU usage is dropping when it jerks. Here, see for yourself:

I've tried turning off Vsync and motion blur, but it makes no difference.

So, what's going on here? And how do I fix it? This is making it very hard to target anyone...

Are your temperatures normal? Sometimes when the temp is higher than it likes it will it will freak out and lower the power. How old is your power supply? and do you know how to test one? When something like this comes out of nowhere its worth testing it if it is not a heat thing. A PSU that is failing or just worn out a lot can cause a GPU to act like this (have seen it first hand).

EDIT: Side not, It is also possible that your motherboard is getting old and the power distribution part is giving out >.> sorry but in being thorough I felt I needed to add that.

It looks like the temp is staying pretty constant. I just bought this entire computer in April, so I'm skeptical that anything is getting worn out.

Sometimes its just a fluke, it can take one bad capacitor or a bad coil :( but! being so new does make it far less likely. Did you have it custom made?

Oh ok then you probably still have warranty and can have them look at it, they would have the proper tools to make sure its not hardware failing you. But it is still possible that its software, you could try reinstalling your driver but thats a long shot.

What is your CPU? If it is AMD make sure you have AHCI enabled for all SATA in BIOS. There was a stutter bug early on. Maybe it is some recurring weird form of it.

AMD FX 4350

It looks like I do. Should Port4/5 be AHCI too? Are there any other settings I should be changing?

Depends on which port your Hard Drive is plugged. You should change all of them to AHCI anyway.

I remember there being problems with some amd chips with star citizen. It may be related to the game's code.

Do you experience this stutter when running other games? If not, then it's very likely related to the game's code.

CIG had been trying to nail that issue a year or so ago.
