haha :) the backstory to it is:- It was the only variant of 'frag' available to register on multiplay for quake many years ago. Stuck to it ever since :)

on quake live then? I didn't think the rest had any username requirements. I played a bit of QL, I liked Clan Arena a lot :)

Yea, I'm a fairly oldster as well, as I remember playing the demo of Quake1 at my cousins place and it was the coolest thing ever. Q3 didn't have any kind of username registration though, there were CD-Key checks when you connected to regular ded servers but you could set your ingame name to whatever you wanted. This is what confused me a bit.
