Things like that make me throw shade at them sometimes. They just increased the price of the Super Hornet a week before this sale so I guess they didnt want the CCU money and only after fresh money. The could throw the people with ships in packages a bone sometimes after all the hype and support we give them.
Hornet Wildfire was 175. But I think you're right.

Can we assume, at that price, it will have similar combat capabilities as the Hornet?

If not, there's gonna be a lot of pissed-off honkies

I don't get that statement earlier in the week about the release of a "glass cannon" because I was always under the impression the Buccaneer filled that role. It was fairly cheap (originally $115 I think?), lightly shielded, but guns up the boot-tay. Its meant to get in, attack, and GTFO.

Now I'm suspecting the Hurricane will be the same thing just from another manufacturer. However, whats with the $175 price tag if that's the case?

It's tempered glass instead of traditional.

As it says in the Spectrum Post linked by Sam "The cost of ships may rise as they move through development; The best deals are often lost as time moves on; So let it be with the Hurricane."

It's the initial concept sale dudes, you are getting it for a steal. Comparing a concept price to a fully fleshed out (and the nearest thing to balanced we have) ship is not an even comparison. Once it has been built I'd expect it to be nearer the $220 mark if not more.

The thing I have a problem with is that the Super hornet before last week's sale was $160, They increased the price without saying anything to anyone. A week later we get shiny new fighter that is $5 cheaper than the new SuperHornet price so people who have game packages attached to their hornet can't melt the package without losing all it's goodies. I know CIG wants fresh money and prices change but at least give us a heads up or something before they do something like this. Also the SH isn't even finished this was a touch up, when they did that with the freelancer it's price never changed.

I take it the new concept is not purchasable with Store Credit? Or there would be a sea of melted Hornets?

$175 is the price they gave so most likely it will be a lower price to buy it flat out. (Speculation) The problem is they changed the Hornets price last week and didn't give a notice. They knew this new ship was coming out the week after and could of told us. I have two game packages and if I wanted this ship I would lose the game, ship and goodies of that package because my Hornet is now worth $180. Where if they just kept the price of the hornet or give notice people could make changes without losing stuff. I would of been ok giving $15 for a newer ship but melting a game package and losing everything not so much. It just feels like all they want is fresh cash and not throw a bone to people who dont spend hundreds on each ship sale.

It should be purchasable with store credit. They all are. Recently though, they have been doing the cash only discount. The Warbond editions.

I already sold my soul for the carrack, maybe my left pinkie toe will be enough

Or maybe an arm and a leg

Kidneys aren't important anyway

They sure increased the price of the SH somewhen during the past months. But not last week, because the price today is exactly the same of October 2016, when I bought the SH. Just sayin'.
