Not only do they not mix, it's illegal to drink and shoot. As an Austin resident who has a carry permit, even though most parts don't have 30 ought 6 or 7 posted, even one drink being consumed while carrying is illegal. You can be around others, but can't drink yourself.
Having said that, I'll probably go since I live here. And I have guns, more than a few :slight_smile: Salt Lick in Wimberley is good (Don't go to the one in Round Rock, it's junk), and Franklins is better (but you gotta be there at 5-6am to stand in line). No shortage of amazing food near downtown if you want to stay near the convention.
FYI: I don't usually carry. If I go on a long drive though, or to a part of town that's sketchy, I'll have it on me.

@Munken Citcon 2018 should be around Oct 27th from what I can tell. Yeah nothing official is out but it's a place to start for folks thinking about attending.

So if we are doing a range day, I'll probably drive so I can bring all my firearms and ammo to save people money.

I'm going to try my damnedest to make there and of we can throw in a bar meetup and range day I'm in. Of course if the meet up goes well then I may only be able to afford to throw rocks at the targets

Im going, all from the Great North (Canada), home of polar bears. How about Cigarettes, alcohol and fireworks. Lol jk. How about BBQ and go see a movie at the Alamo Drafthouse.
I hope to be there if I can snag a ticket before they sale out.
If I can snag a ticket, I would totally be down. Would have to put in leave but that far in advance I should be good to go.

Concierge get first email for tickets right? I'll be watching for that like a hawk. I live a few hours from Austin, it would be a sin not to go.
Once I know The exact dates and where it will be held in Austin I can start making arrangements in advance. I don't foresee not being able to go this time even though once again I'm living in another country. This time I'm not attached to the military :) . I really enjoy my space and alone time so renting a house would be out of the question for me, but it would be a great idea for people that are interested. I'm down for BBQ convoys and a TEST bar meetup.
