I never understood deodorant. If it de-odors, why does it have a smell?

Why not? He does occasionally post pics of neat little miniature spaceships and stuff made by the community they get in the office. It's as worthy as any other twitter account really ...
Cos it removes the odor ( which in my mind at least translates to "bad smell" ) and gives you a supposedly better smell?

I think "Re-odorant" would have been more accurate.

@Lorddarthvik , I'm slightly surprised that you didn't follow up his reply by asking what brand & version of deodorant he prefers.
Every year I am bought a gift-set of deodorant and shower gel for Christmas.
Every year I use that can of deodorant for that year.
I now have *estimates* twenty(?) cans of palatially used deodorant in the bathroom.
The oldest one is from 1998, is probably my favorite one, has truly lost its scent (I can still remember what it used to smell of) and the propellant has expired so although it contains liquid, it does not spray.
Look upon me in horror, people.
I say this from personal experience, do not allow open flames anywhere near open bottles of Old Spice. It is highly flammable & if ignited might also explode. Trust me, that is an odor infused blast that you don't want within an enclosed space that you have to go near periodically.
I neglected my duties of asking that follow up question because I had to go to the beach after the first question so I haven't seen the answer till much later. The AMA was over by then =(
@Talonsbane I used the flamethrower-old-Spice a lot back in the days, to scare away big as spiders ( I'm "slightly" arachnophobic lol). Those bastards are fireproof though, they never fried, just skittered away lazily. I still have both my hands, the bottles never blew up on me. Using hairspray is the safer version. Bigger bottle, more propellant, less likely to blow back.
Back when I was working in the automotive repair industry, whenever we'd get a buildup of spiders, it was time to use some WD40 with a lighter in short sweeping bursts of flame. The black widows & brown recluses that I used that on didn't get away, they shriveled up & turned to ash while their webs evaporated.
So long as there is no oxidizer in the can of flammable liquid it will not explode.

Yes, but an ancient can with no propellant and liquid inside probably has air in it and could explode, so don't crew with it, Naff. Just throw something away for once in your life!
