I've noticed we have enough people that are interested in the Lore aspect of the game. Since other organisations have (tried) to establish themselves in the universe's lore I would like TEST to give it a try too. What do you think we are as an organisation in that world?

1) What would TEST as an org be like in the world of Star Citizen?
Yes, a group of drunk people, you'd say. But how did they come together as a group? Why are they tolerating piracy and why the UEE still accepts them?

2) What is their main goal in the Universe?
Yes, for the players is to have fun. But what about the characters themselves?

Some things to consider:
-Accepts all kinds of people
-Rumour has it that most members are alcoholics and speak English terribly
-Have no hierachy whatsoever, besides a very specific glorious quasi-religious leader

Do we need more than a hard drink, something to shoot at, and some pretty ladies?
All I need !

Hehe, but seriously.
Maybe find a sector of space to call home, and enjoy life?

I think of us as a "Pilot Accademy". A space maneuvering veteran's Club teaching that even Auroras can make a difference. Ofcourse every "biker's Club" owns it's own bar. That's where our HQ comes in.

We are known for our high quality brewed-in-space beer (possibly in one of those Endeavors). That also explains the "drunk squadron" nickname.

Maybe find a sector of space to call home, and enjoy life?
That raises the HQ question. So, until CIG give us an established home somewhere in the galaxy, let's just say that we had many homes. We have been ousted more than once due to affiliation and acceptance of wanted pirate members. Now we are on the process of aquiring a new one.

Think of us like the characters in Guardians of the Galaxy. A bunch of misfits who cause trouble, but in the end always helps out and does what is right, mostly in the name of self preservation ("Because I am one of the idiots who lives in the universe") Misfits, but can be relied on.
Sounds good to me.

Don't know, but to me this sounds like the Church of the Flying-Spaghetti-Monster
http://spaghettimonster.com/

Huray for the future, the Flying.Spaghetti-Monster is real, even in the Future, and we, we my brothers and sister are the ones who follow it's lead.
praise (or don't)[or do what ever you want] the mighty flying-spaghetti-monster!

What? Who? Wha...I mean, thats EXACT the point why I joined TEST. Because there are no hierarchies (except holy Montoya, bless thee, Montoya, o my soul, and all that is within me, bless his hol...ho...l...whole name), because theres so much nationalities around here that you can give a damn fuck about how good or bad you write English language (as long as anybody is writing anything anyway) and because ITS ALL ABOUT THE FUN.

TEST should remain TEST. And if there may be the kind of demand of a more structural organization, then just found a subgroub and do what you mean to do (as long as you have fun). But don't you dare forget to praise the Montoya! :D ;)

P.S.: I will found the TEST WER Wolves - the TEST Weekend Exploration Raiders :D Who is in?? :D

Because there are no hierarchies
Sorry, that was my bad 'cause I wasn't clear. I don't like Hierarchies either. I just would love to be part of the 'Verse.

Like hearing from NPC's that test squadron members are drunk, dangerous but fearless pilots. Or that these people are pioneers in experimentation so that Ship Manufacturers have a "Test Squadron" evaluation crash test named after them.

Just lore/fluff. Nothing to force people do specific stuff. Like this

Hah, had to look twice on your avatar shadowjim12 - thought it is montoya... But it's "the finger"...
Well, I was looking for a scumbag pirate-like avatar when I joined test squadron. I think his face and reputation on the Net meet the description's demands.

If you are in need of ending negotiations with other Orgs spectacularly, you know who to call :P

Butt...sorry, my bad: but we ARE dangerous AND fearless (and happily drunk, acknowledged by official Montoya, ah, law) AND most of all we are LOTS, right? Because this is what we say, this is what we are:

ICly I think the idea of Test Squadron would make a good fraternal organization. Like the Elks Lodge or Freemasons.

Test Squadron: largest and least sober space-frat in the Verse.

This kind of premise would also easily allow for any variety of sub-groups and gameplay focuses.

I think 'accepts' is a bit strong in this case. More accurate would likely be 'barely tolerates' or 'views as MOSTLY harmless'.

The reason most people in test squadron speak terrible English, is because most of us are American. American English is terrible by definition.

This is why our main Logo has the word Squadron spelt wrong, because Montoya thought he was going to have to spell ALUMINIUM ( al-you-min-eee-um) correctly, and completely lost all semblance of correct English.
