I guess it's somewhat optional, but figured I should say Hello.

I've only been playing on and off for a few months, but have been enjoying flying around. Cargo running and mining (not quantanium) are where I'm currently focussed, but I may one day venture into the combat side (FPS or flying), however at present my abilities make the AI look like members of Mensa.

If you see me lurking around on discord\forums\etc, but not joining in on discussions, don't worry - I sometimes need a little while before I feel comfortable joining discussions, but will eventually start joining in.

Welcome aboard!

Many thanks for dropping a greeting, one of the main things that drew me to TEST was the open acceptance of the Org to let us plough our own furrow and participate as much or as little as we wished - I was very much the same in my early days, in real life I'm not the type to approach others, start a conversation or encroach on people.

But I found the forum space and group of users in particular here to be very comfortable to be in and around and... well, don't look at my post count... :like:

Careful of approaching the Discord then.. 'tis a slippery slope listening to random humor, alcohol fueled flying (and crashing for full disclosure) and pure speculation about the state of, the future of, the past of, or the intent of the game. Pretty soon you'll be manning a turret facing a Hammerhead with TEST dummies all around you, dazzled by the flying of @marcsand2 or @Chromeninja and blinded by the explosions of Auroras on all sides.

Then you'll want to buy more of your own ships.. and pretty soon, conciege sneaks up on you..

It's horrible. Don't do it. Ever. More than once. A night.

I popped in to Discord the other day, right in the middle of an "interesting" discussion between a couple of members and what appeared to be a visiting child who was up past their bed time: It was rather amusing to watch - I may need to spend more time hiding in the corner there watching what goes on, to get a better idea of what to expect, though.

As to concierge: It has already snuck up behind me and beaten me over the head when I wasn't paying attention to it early this year... Fortunately, not being into the combat side of the game and concentrating on ships which are solo\don't lose too much if run solo, the chance of this sort of thing escalating too far aren't that high.

Thank you... It's nice to know there are other people with similar personality traits\types to myself here, which certainly helps me feel more relaxed.
