Upgrade a ship that already has LTI. When the Hammerhead was on sale, any stand alone purchases came with LTI. You basically wait for a concept sale that comes with LTI and then buy those ships. You then upgrade your ship with LTI to the ship that you desire.

If your Aurora only had 3 month insurance, then so will your Hammerhead. Upgrading a ship does not upgrade the insurance. You keep the insurance of the original ship.

Gold is too soft. Shells don't bounce off quite the same.... or at all. The industrial age let me get new parts fast and they all became interchangable.
