Use nexus mod manager or mod organizer rather than steam workshop to mod your Skyrim up. Also, you may need LOOT (a load order organizer). Steam workshop doesn't handle load orders well. GopherVids on youtube has really good tutorials on some of the more technical aspects of getting your mods...
