I'd like to stick with an off the shelf tread system if possible (Tamiya, etc). Nothing on the Tonk is super special and would give us more time to concentrate on making the rest really polished.

I mean... as long as we aren't selling them I don't think CIG really cares. The ultimate goal should be a 3D printed body and a list of electronics. At that point, anyone with a 3D printer should be able to build one.

In typical fashion I finished none of the ships I previously outlined. Instead I finished the Nova Tonk. I'll build the physical version this weekend.

I will figure it out next time for sure. CIG wanted to know costs up front... which with the varied shipping costs overseas I didn't know. I'll try to get a "you will know after the fact" kinda contract next time I run a model sale.

I think CIG recognizes that unless some sort of major legal action happens, they are pretty untouchable. They will always have a core fanbase that will keep buying ships and supporting the game. ... which is why I don't think they care when it comes to stuff like this. Let the rabid fanbase...

At 1/128th scale, these models are half the size of the ones that I made my name with in SC. That being said, I like this size better. Way easier to show off on a desk or around the house as some of my other models are quite big and easily bumped into. Also, I will have an option for people...

As a person who doesn't stream and spends hundreds of hours building ship models, streaming looks difficult and stressful. I applaud anyone who can do it successfully for more than 6 months.
