Great article! I mine a lot in the Mole ...ok, my wife's Mole...and we've found that when you use the scanner in the widest setting there's a minimum scan range. That is, say you are asteroid mining and it spots something 12KM away. You start flying there and at around 9-10KM the rock drops off...
