Guys, what is an "asymptote"? /cry
I hope I get to land on a virtual planet before Musk lands on a real one...
Not Soon enough.
Well, CIG is aiming for perfection. You can never reach perfection so they'll always be building and improving the game, even after launch and they've said this. The key thing is after launch, so it'll get released, it might take a little bit, but it will be the best and keep moving towards perfection.
A line that continually approaches a given curve but does not meet it at any finite distance.
So they're stating they rapidly approached perfection and are now on a gradual, planned, alignment with a perfection they realize they'll never achieve.
In the coding world that graph actually looks pretty good, consistent.
For additional understanding read up on the Pareto Principal (aka 80/20 rule.)
In analytic geometry, an asymptote of a curve is a line such that the distance between the curve and the line approaches zero as one or both of the x or y coordinates tends to infinity.
Just remembered this from my...analytic geometry class? Aw, who am I kidding. I never got higher than my gazintas in math class, I googled this and I think "asymptote" will be the name of one of my ships
"Welcome to Burndown, Thursday October 5th.
Last week we had 1 bug that prevented the release of Alpha 3.0 to the Evocati. We are happy to announce that the bug was FIXED! In the process, though, another 56 bugs have surfaced.
Keep up with the latest and greatest on Burndown next year!
Until then, we'll see you... AROUND THE VERSE!"
It's gonna be real close. But my money is on Space X.
Isn't SOON CIG slang for "Not in your fuckin' life time"?
Fuck, he's drunk again! "Hey guys, I got another great idea to throw in to the game."
maybe it is, maybe it isnt...
Seeing as I'm a little older. I do believe the first game I ever saw soon™ being thrown around in a game was eve online. Perhaps there were others but soon seemed to be used constantly by CCP and the player community especially when discussing walking in stations; which has been talked about since 2003 and has been soon since 2007 to never be delivered along with many other things.
Perhaps star citizen will give them a run for their money with soon though.. Let's hope not!
Ahh, the captains quarters update. I remembered shooting that monument in Jita with thousands of others in protest to the update, but didn't quite realize that they were opposing interior designs to stations and ships and thought that they were just butt mad about delayed development of ships and ship mechanics. Star Citizen was the game I wanted when I heard about EVE Online and tried it. I had my fun with EVE, though I've always wanted a first person space ship game with fully developed interiors and SC will scratch that itch.
Here here I agree with that I don't like crap games being released beacause the public cant shut up.
The World may never know.
or will it?
