It's likely illudeing to the win in the Ship Showdown mirroring the ship naming contest of the Arctic Serveyor vessle "Sir David Attenborough" whos winning name was originally Boaty McBoatface. One of the ships ROV Submersibles did recieve the name and had helped make some crucial scientific observations.
