Hey! Has anyone done this? More importantly, does it mean that if I buy a 1060 tomorrow and in a month or two decide i want to upgrade to a 1080, will it qualify? I can't find the answer anywhere and can't contact EVGA! Please help, beers on me.

AFAIK you have to register your card on the EVGA internet portal (including copies of your invoice); you have to make this four weeks after the purchase at the latest.
You then can upgrade your current card by buying a better one in the EVGA shop after you sent in your card to EVGA within a period of 90 days.

So I can buy the 1060 from say Amazon, but I have to purchase the upgrade from EVGA shop?
It's a great program. It also calculates in mail in rebates and promo code discounts into the rate.
