Flight/ Space Sim games to practice flying?

I went out and bought an extremely expensive and high end joystick... the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, now I'm just looking for some sim games to start practicing flying. I've never really used a joystick or played many sims before, and while I know copious amounts of alcohol will make me a better pilot, I'd like to get some practice! Thanks!

Diaspora seems to be a game that has been talked about a lot. Just google it, it's very easy to find. I'm new to space/flight sims so I don't know much about available games either.

Though it's not a space sim, War Thunder is a nice introduction to dogfighting, and it's free.

Diaspora is hard as fucking NAILS. Great game though.

In addition to Diaspora, Wing Commander Saga is pretty good and it uses the Freespace 2 Open engine. Evochron Mercenary and Arvoch Alliance from Starwraith games are really good space sims to practice with as well.

http://jumpgate-tri.org is another game based on the old jump gate MMO. Easy to get up and running, is an MMO with near neutonian physics, but no 6DOF and more WWII in space, but not so much drag...
