Hi all,

I would like to know what hardware do you have and which average (max) fps you have within 2.5 / had within 2.4.

There are often questions like "do I have to upgrade my 760 GTX for playing SC?" or "is there any fps advantage by upgrading to GTX1080" or "can I use my laptop for SC" or "is the 8350 too slow for SC" et patati et patata.

Perhaps it will be possible, by collecting data, consolidate and finally analyze it to receive an answer on those questions.

It would be helpful if we could stick to the following structure

Kind of PC: laptop/desktop*
CPU (overclocked)
GPU (RAM, OC'd)
RAM (number of modules)
SC installed on: HDD/SSD (detail)

fps miniPU 2.4: min/average/max (resolution, detail level)
fps miniPU 2.5: min/average/max (resolution, detail level)

Comment (optional)

*..."laptop" as synonym for any mobile device, "desktop" as synonym for any stationary device

fps can be read out i.e. by using fraps: http://www.fraps.com/

Well then, I'll do the first step ;)

Kind of PC: Desktop
CPU: AMD 8350 8x4GHz (overclocked: no)
GPU: Inno3D GeForce GTX 960 iChill X3 Air Boss Ultra, 2048 MB GDDR
RAM: 2 x 8GB 1333 RAM
SC installed on: Samsung SSD 850 Evo 250GB, SATA

fps miniPU 2.4: 1/10-15/30 (1920x1050, medium)
fps miniPU 2.5: 10*/20-25/40 (1920x1050, high)

Comment (optional)
*...except for framedrops down to 1, which happen nevertheless way less often than in 2.4

I think the work of formatting is scaring people :p

Kind of PC: main gaming rig
CPU fx-6250
GPU evga 1060 sc (6gb ram boost clock 2012)
RAM 32gb ddr3 @1600 (4 sticks)
SC installed on: installed on old ssd
Not sure on the fps as the fps read has been having issues but it is very smooth most the time in 2.4 and 2.5

Kind of PC: mini itix
CPU g3258
GPU evga 760 sc (will be putting old 960 ssc in there when I get around to it)
RAM 16gb ddr3 @1600 (two sticks)
SC installed on: ssd

Again have had issues getting a proper fps read but on this build it is very playable and smooth as long as the server doesn't crap out. More on that evga 960 ssc I plan on putting in, it ran the game well when it was paired with my fx-6350 and is better than the 760 so i see it making only a positive impact.

And a last note, when I play 2.5 now on my main rig it actually uses so little gpu power my 1060 runs at between 1200 and 1400 mhz. Its normal clock is 1500 somthing and in almost any other game will turn on its boost and go to 2012 mhz (out of the box). So take that data as you will :)
