I'm setting about $1000 for 4 days aside. Cheaper on hotel is better and $100 a night is about right.

I am totally going and I convinced my girlfriend to get hotel with you guys on the grounds I'll be too drunk* to drive back to Anaheim to be with her (for 3 days lol).

We'd prefer cheaper, but definitely ok with the $100-150 a night cause we don't like bedbugs or shootings.

A HOT TUB WOULD BE NICE!!

She would kill me for leaving that out.

*Someone must be responsible for dumping me off at my room if I'm too far gone.

PS http://www.mikadohotels.com was a very nice place for around $139 a night. They might do group for cheaper if we have enough. It's about 7 miles from event.

Wait, what are the details this year? I heard it was in LA maybe? If it is in the states, I want to go!

As I said in the previous post RE: Citizencon, I'd love to go but I won't know until around June or July if I am able to. So I voted, but currently my vote is tentative.

I voted cheap, y'all must be scared of knives or something. To be fair, if we get some rooms with double queen beds and people don't mind, we can share to cut costs. Also maybe sneak in people with sleeping bags or something.

Cheaper is better but yeah I know the area and I dont want to be shot either lol, but i will be coming up with a friend so $75 to $100 a night is doable for us to split :)

Do you think we can get an accurate head count within the next 8weeks?

More people usually sign up for things than actually go unfortunately, so it probably wont be 100% accurate. Most of the time you aren't obligated to fill all the rooms you book, so as long as we fill half of them we'll be ok. I got a bid from this hotel for 119 a night which is $40 less than the rooms normally go for. The bid included singles and doubles for the same price, so if anyone wants to share a room with someone the option is there. Its still early and nothings set in stone of course but this looks like a good option.

so here's an idea: if we got 10 rooms for 5 nights at around 120 a night times 10 people that's $6000. but if we get a house that fits 10 people for the same amount of time its $2517 making the price per person per day 41.95. Hell even if half of the people canceled and it was $84 or we did 5 people per house we would still save money.

An entire house for TESTies? Now there's an idea.
