I just played SC for the first time

Storytime.
I logged into SC, saw that @AstroSam was online. Took a few minutes to figure out how to make a party.
I went to Levski to meet up with him and decided to get on his Cutlass by EVA, as he was just above his hangar. Forgot there was gravity around Levski, so I just fell ON his Cutlass. He opened the rear door, so I dropped right in.
We went to Olisar so he could deliver his cargo, and then we took a Starfarer to a research outpost on Yela.
We missed the landing, of course, but we survived. Took out a Greycat buggy (because we didn't have a Dragonfly or an Ursa) and we cruised around the mountainside until Sam died. The end.
All in all, playing SC with somebody you know is a WAY DIFFERENT experience compared to playing alone. For the first time ever, I enjoyed the hell out of playing Star Citizen. Yes, it's buggy af, but it was just... relaxing.
I look forward to doing that again with all of you guys.

Poor Sam! It's a lot of fun though, especially if you understand you might crash.

I played one night with 3 other TESTies in Discord. It helps to know someone has your back too. We were just running individual cargo runs from Levski, because we hadn't figured it out yet. I got interdicted at one point, and one of the guys escorted my the remaining bits of my cutlass to the landing bay. I'd lost the entire left side, and I think the top turret. It was OK, the gang that was responsible is was missing a few parts off their ships too. Is it just me, or is combat at 12 FPS just a little more difficult? I think I did pretty good given the circumstances.

Since that night, I've encountered a few computer issues that I needed to resolve, then Christmas happened. We had 27 people over. I'm only getting around to recovering now, but I'm raring to go for sure.

I haven't had the opportunity of playing with someone in 3.0 yet, as when the christmas CFT event was going on the game decided I can't join a party more than once a day... so I'm just running some trade runs to make a little cash (even though all stores seem to have nothing to sell, probably a bug). Give me a shout when you're online on discord, it's fun to monkey around with friends :banana:

Hey, that's right, we were going to try to see about joining up sometime. I'll add you to my contacts, we can take some ships out.

It really is a totally different game multiplayer...lotsa fun, plenty of things to try, both serious and goofy. See you in the 'verse!

These are the stories I love to hear, great job enjoying a buggy alpha for what it is instead of raging that it isn't what we want it to be.

I only played a tiny bit and did enjoy it and that was a good few patches before the live release so I imagine I would enjoy it even more with the many fixes in place.
Can't wait to go make my name known in the verse as a horrible stealy take stuff person and illegal transporter of goods person.

Need some stuff moved that "doesn't exist" then let me know, I have a Cutlass and Caterpillar.

Sadly, in a few hours, I'll be leaving town to attend a new year's party and will be back in 4-5 days. I'll have access to an internet connection, but I'll only bring my laptop with me (a laptop that can't even load the SC launcher).
But I'll see you guys when I return!
