That's amazing quarter growth, especially considering circumstances. But Way to go CIG!So far it looks like Q1 is way above any previous comparable period:
They might have a record year but it will be without my money. So far it looks like Q1 is way above any previous comparable period:
It's still the whales. They are either enticing more people to become whales than they are losing or they are enticing more of the whales to spend even more. This is interesting...it finally appears that CIG & SC have hit "critical mass" and no longer are reliant on "whales" for funding, but can attract new players and thrive on those paying just USD $45 or $60 for the starter package.
I don't think this will happen. ED just backed out of trying to run on consoles; it's just too hard to cram all of the various needed controls on to a 10 button handheld. Plus it's not necessary, as they're clearly getting plenty of funding from just the PC base, so IMO I just don't see it.if CIG opens SQ42 to be available on the PS5 & new XBOX systems
True, the games controls would have to be simplified for the console versions & they'd definitely not have as much control over their characters / vehicles as we do on PC, but SQ42 is a single player game, so it might not require as many options for control anyways. Definitely don't need to type / text other players in game. Using the thumbs can work the flight controls like dual sticks to a degree with the trigger buttons firing the weapons & countermeasures.I don't think this will happen. The Xbox isn't much different from a low end gaming PC running, essentially, windows. Both XBox and PS5 support keyboard and mouse input. The problem is more about supporting yet another platform than the capabilities of the platforms.
