What's a good flight stick to use for this game?

Saitek flightsticks are reportedly the safest choice so far. They were nice enough to promise me the X52 Pro and X55 so I may review the flightsticks for you guys :)

i ordered an x55, which should be pretty functional, when combined with a side pad to do some macro maneuvers.

Would a side pad really be necessary? The x55 will have switches and crap on both parts (Throttle and stick). Plus you could put your keyboard between the controls if you've got a desktop setup.

I'm am a mouse and keyboard user and I have gotten use to use my pad for macros and keyboard for controls.

I'm planning on hiring two twitch pros from the neighborhood to pilot and gun while I command them from my station across the room. All I need is a good-sized monitor, plush chair, year-long supply of nachos, and a bullwhip. And my Darth Maul mask. And this dishwasher.

I plan on getting a Saitek X-55 when they are released. Seems like the best bang-for-buck option. I have heard a lot of good about CH Products, but I find their design very lackluster and boring for the price point, and I hate that it's all hard plastic.

I see no great need of controllers, at all, to be fair. Eventually you'll hit something going straight.

I do have a G13, some Saitek Cyborg Evo + another joystick or two, so seems I have plento of directions and butans. I am contemplating dual joysticks tho, let's see that makes sense once doggy module is out.

Id wait before buying one. They will probably create a custom joystick fit for Starcitizen before release :D
