7950 isn't gonna cut it anymore. Even in crossfire.

Not the full rig. Just the tip.

I have been using this for all my daily computer needs

http://www.sportys.com/pilotshop/flight-seat-ultimate-flight-simulator-chair.html
But my knees kept hitting the sides. Even tho you can slide the controls up and down the aluminum threads keep wearing out and repairs are then needed. Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome chair and I would recommend it to someone looking for this kind of flight sim. It's just not for me.

Anyway I ended up starting to build a system that I could just roll behind me and out of the way. Approx 90% of this build are items that I found in empty lots or something that was being thrown out by someone. like the metal tubing is just a discarded TV stand, and a real estate sign that has lost it's owner.

Anyway, this is it up to now.

I gave the stick a 20 degree up angle to approximately match the true angle. Then I added 2 more holes to move the stick forward.

Tweak is diggin the smell of fresh paint.

Next I need to get a top end office/gaming chair.

^ Very nice!

As a dude that originates in architectural design doing mostly offices/furniture: If you're looking at a new office chair, I would suggest if you can to try out the Herman Miller stuff (Aeron/Mirra/Embody) and also the Steelcase Think chair. I've sat in thousands of chairs as part of my job and these few are the best of the best. I myself use a Herman Miller Setu (4-star, no wheels) for my battlestation as it doubles as a hammock when I take at-work naps.

Herman Miller stuff is cool. I have viewed the catalog and sat in their chairs. (Our police dept. just got a crap load of them @ about $850.00 each. Yeah I know, what a bunch of dicks, but what can you do.)
Anyway, what do you think of this? http://www.needforseatusa.com/computer_chair_pro_gaming They seem to have a lot of positive feedback and the price is closer to what I am thinking.

Ignore the mess, will be rebuilding and relocating to a different room as soon as stuff gets cleared out of the "office."

Built in.... 2012/13. Never building anything larger than mATX again.
