Do I save my endurance for then or train myself for the future by freeezing my ass off tonight?
Maybe it's different in Canada, but I wouldn't expect you to need to practice shivering in a sleeping bag. That comes natural to everyone.
Get out there and do some more running, champ.

Unless you've been doing marathons since you were a young yeti, I'd bet all the running is where you're going to suffer. Even if you get scored on a separate scale from young troops fresh out of high school, you're going to need to be able to keep up with them and they're 10 or more years younger than you. I would expect to be doing long runs (between 2 - 12 miles) nearly every day while you are in training, and nearly every other day after training is wrapped up.
Don't let this discourage you @CrudeSasquatch make it drive you forward! We believe in you, champ!
