My parents have been on holiday and all they have got for me was this stupid thread title
I realized i’m a litte bit not up to date with current computer tech development and this question is explicitly targeted at playing Star Citizen
So currently i’m running
Mainboard: Asus z97-a rev 1.x(2?)
I5-4690k @4,5 GHZ
16 GB Ram DDR 3
EVGA GTX 970 (GM 204 A1)
SC handles “well” at lowered setting @1920x1080
I think I’m going to wait for the next GPU generation (GTX 1180 or however they will call it) to get ready for 4k gaming
(4k Display is already on my desk but GTX970 can’t handle it pretty well for gaming atm)
Well I will have to check if my power supply will be enough for this new generation.
But now my question should I get a new CPU (and Mainboard and probably Ram DDR4? Or is there even DDR5 coming out?) too or do you think it should handle well for SC?
Have you realized any performance increase using SSDs? (vs HDD, lets forget about loading times etc)
