Now I can't get into the gameplay anymore and I've got a $500 account that they won't give me a refund on. Wish I had it back to spend on a PC or moar pixel spaceships lol.

I must say the concept of owning and operating a Javelin is appealing. I just am not sure how practical it will be or if I will have enough game time to support the habit.
Practical? It holds 5,000 SCU of beer and has a hangar to import more while in flight! It's the most practical party ship in the game!
I'm also a noob :( My years of experience, K/D ratio, win / loss ratios, gear, achievements, and my mother's weight make no difference to anyone on the internet for I am always wrong and male.
I too have spent around $500, lol. I bought 8 battleships to find out that I can't play them at all, lol. Now I have to grind destroyers. Wish I bought those instead.

Standard american practices with the toss the baby. As for the woods project before my son was born i was working on a Tamo Ash table to seat 10 people. It's been a very long and difficult project. My goal is to use as little hardware as possible and build it to last for several generations. One of these days when i get it finished i'll share some pictures of it.

Lol. I was almost to the Essex T9 USN CV when they finished completely screwing over the USN carriers by removing all loadout options.
I've also got a bunch of cruisers but then realized that I absolutely hate cruisers.
Then I've got a bunch of USN battleships including Missouri and Bama. If I could just keep one ship and trade all the others back, it would be my Alabama. NC/Alabama just clicked for me. Missouri/Iowa are good too but not as much.
Add in a bunch of destroyers and other lines up to about T6-7, a ton of premiums, and that's me. And it just sits there unused.

You are not just a noob, the mere fact you suggested Alliance is worth mentioning has not only blacklisted you and your family in my mind but almost anyone that has merely had a passing contact with you should be razed from this earth and their name struck from mortal record.

I love cruisers! I love to shoot at them and watch them explode. I love to dodge their torpedoes. And I love when I light them on fire.
I thought I loved battleships. The power, the range, the armor. Every time I fire at another ship, RNGesus opens up a gap in my salvo that causes half of the shots to land in front, the other half to land behind, and if there's an odd number I get one hit but it shatters on impact. I'm lucky to get over 20 hits in a game.
Torpedoes on the other hand give me just as many hits. The only problem is the 4km range and how I'm pideon holed into Soviet and USN destroyers because of how much I freaking hate panes in that gane. So many times have I looked up and just watched some bomber squadron fly over and sink my ship effortlessly. So many times I have been sank in the first 2 minutes of the game by a perfect crossdrop. I have survived 5 battleships shooting at me for 2 minutes but I can't survive 1 attack from an IJN carrier.
Freaking hate planes...

What battleships are you using?
The only ones that clicked for me were the Bismarck (love 10+km secondaries) and the USN fast battleships (speed, looks, and amazing guns).
Carriers - USN has been nerfed to hell.
Buy a Kaga and laugh evilly as you crossdrop twelve (YES TWELVE) torpedoes onto unfortunate uptiered Kongos and New Yorks.

Sold my Russian one and regret it.
I am aware that the Kaga drops 12. 8 of them normally find my hull and sink me.
I feel like I do best in the Alabama but I still rarely hit anything, even at 1km. I lead my shots but the spread opens up in the exact shape of the ship and my shots just miss. I once attacked a Kaga but half my shots flew between the top deck and where the planes are stored and I missed a lot.
With a destroyer, I feel like I can hit much more often, though I have to be much closer and my reloads are much quicker.
I am having a hard time with the Russian destroyers though. The rudder shift feels like it has a 2 second delay before it starts to turn. My rudder just doesn't start turning for a bit which makes me feel like the Alabama has much better handling than the Tier 8 Russian destroyer. I may just give up my Russian ships and go American, though those high arcs make it difficult for me to hit anything.
