I'm interested in helping.

I'm a web programmer by day and fiddle with electronics and micro-controllers when I get home. I write a lot of SQL, and I am familiar with Google Spreadsheets querying capability.

I enjoy doing data analysis and most recently worked on a capability, for EVE Online for my group there, that used historic PvE activity records to forecast when target organizations were most likely to be active and use that data to ambush their operations ( quite successfully I might add ).

I'd love to help with whatever data analysis and future information systems TEST might use.

I'm not especially techy or finance-savvy, but I'm decent with data analysis and the like (I spent too much time with the budget/econ geeks when I was getting my degree). If that's in any way useful I'd be happy to help out!

I can help by having you say financial things at me and I shake my head like I understand them giving you a feeling of importance...

Well, that topic's a bit old and am not sure if it's still open, but I believe I'm qualified to be of help. I've been professionally working with statics/econometrics and analyzing financial data for more than 5 years now (1 year data Analyst, 3 years proprietary trading and am currently an investment analyst), so I don't think the excel part will be too much of a challenge. Despite that, I am totally new to ingame economics (didn't play a lot MMOs), so I'd need some guiding on that point.

Other than that, I am kinda lazy and don't like to do much in my free time (I don't like to do it in the office as well, but that's just how life is) , so I don't want to make promises that I will regularly be EXCELing with you, but I'd be glad to help when I have the time and the mood if that's OK ? (e.g. I'd rather help with specific ad hoc projects, rather than commit to do daily inputs etc.).

That being said I'll definetely be happy to offer some help and be in the spreadsheet squadron of TEST, because as a professional analyst, I wouldn't feel right if I didn't contribute at least a bit on that part.

Are there any resources you would recommend for testies who want to learn? I can build jet engines but I cant make a decent spreadsheet to save myself and know pretty much nothing about logistics. The reason I ask is that I want to help by harvesting or hauling fuel and specialization is for insects.
I feel you on this one. I'm interested in the cargo hauling and trading aspect and this stuff would help put immensely.

I'm not directly involved in any sort of investing markets or what have you. I'm in audience development so I suspect I won't be able to contribute as much as most of the other interested parties, but definitely count me in for this. I did a lot of trading on EvE and really enjoyed it so I suspect I'll take on a similar mantle in SC.

I'm an analytical chemist who has recently been shoehorned into data compiling and analysis. If there was a way I could put my Excel skills to use for fun, it might lessen the drudgery when I do it at work. Count me in.
