So i've been reading up on SC lore lately since there still isn't a lot of content (my main interest will be the PU) and I was thinking about how they will incorporate all the history into the finished game. Looking at other styles, having an RPG style dialogue with bots would be pretty cool, walking around towns in planets or space stations talking to AI characters, learning as you go and what you learn depending on what areas you go to.
Or will it just be a case of following the events as they unfold during missions and reading up in your own time?
What does anyone else think? (maybe this has been discussed before and in that case I apologise but couldn't find anything on a quick search)

I think once you identify how you really want to spend your time, only a decent mastery of the lore will guide you to the best place to pursue your interests. Hopefully the universe will be much too large to see all of it, but I think there is a place for true lore-masters, who travel broadly and spend the time to know the lore, and can thus sell their services to others as guides. If you love the place of the ancient Irish bard, or the Du'nedain Ranger, or the Traveller FarRanger, or the Han Solo type rogue, you want to carefully study lore.
