I just watched a guy park three Ursas in an Asgard by parking them sideways. It really wasn’t difficult and he was able to walk between all the vehicles. This makes me interested in keeping a Nursa inside for the bed, and a pair of MTCs with Dominance 2 scatterguns to deploy against bunkers.

I’m liking the MTC more and more as time goes on. It’s small enough to fit in some caves and virtually all compounds. Its agility is quite good and a pair of them working together is serious Rat Patrol stuff. Much better than the open vehicles, IMHO. It is the natural platform for the Dominance. Makes it hard to miss at terrestrial ranges. Also, I like all the storage. Very nicely planned and put together.

If you are planning to place railgun or missile launcher guys who need more ammo than will fit a backpack, this might be your first choice. If you’re running exploration ops on hot or cold planets that limit your time outside, the MTC looks good.

At present, NPCs are firing ballistics fire right through the armor and shield and they kill you dead, but one expects CIG will fix this soon.

While we’re on the subject, the Storm will also fit, and it is dominating in the new ground missions in 4.1. Apart from the fact the Storm’s gun has ridiculous, 5km range; it has such high hull points that it is essentially invulnerable against ground troops unless they have a railgun or missile launcher. The Storm is coming into its own.

Ah well. Back at Invictus I played around with my brand-new Starlancer TAC.
Nice big ship. Has all the amenities I'd ever want on a long track across the stars.
Then came Anvil Day and I TESTed the Valkyrie.
Five minutes after the log-off of that session my TAC turned into a femal warrior with a winged helmet screeching Wagner arias...
Such is love at first sight.
I like the flight model (feels heavy but agile enough).
I like the VTOL (pelt the bunker with your turret from above).
Love the side doors (Can be used as entry no problem)
From my perspective it's a Cutlass Black MAX. (And I love my Cutty too)
Those 6 S3s for a nice pattern too. Like a triangle with the pilot in the middle.
As for practicality, you can park an URSA Medivac vertically in the back and still load a tonk as well. Take THAT Andromeda...
PS: The Andromeda would win in a 1x1 versus a Valkyrie. No doubt about that. But as long as Mr. Bong's job ain't duelling he can't go wrong with the Anvil Valyrie.
I know I fly mine more than I do my Phoenix Emerald.
And that one's got a stocked bar!
I was able to park a Pisces in the back with some room to spare. I havnt tried the arrow yet, but I think I'll slip it in.

Actually I was wondering if taking the Medevac Pisces isn't better than taking the Medevac Ursa.
Luckily it can carry both at the same time. So when in doubt... :-)
Looking forward to you Arrow TEST pilot!
Keep us posted. :o7:

And while I'm not disparaging Russian pilots but Soviet planes of the day were absolute crap.
The various Russian Yaks and US made Airacobras were easy targets.
Well I guess you could say that about the Yak 1.
And the MIG 3 while we're pointing fingers.
The Yak 9 and especially the Yak 3 (Lower number but introduced later. The Russians want to confuse us, don't they?) happened to be well armed, fast, agile and equipped with modern stuff like self-sealing tanks and such. They did even the playingfield against the MF 109s and FW 190s.
Or in case of the YAK 3 they turned the tables.
In the first half of 1944 the Luftwaffenobercommando (Airforce Command) gave out the order to NOT engage Yak 3s below 15000 feet. Because that would have been a waste of german planes.
Then again, the 3rd Reich was on it's last leg at the time anyhow.
The point is that Russian engineers were able to build pretty fearsome planes. They are to this day by the way.
Russian "Stealth Fighters" are crap though.
Or maybe so overpowered that no one ever saw them....? :-P

I've got a buddy whose only skin in the game is a Titan package. He's been grinding the hauling missions using rental ships; hat's off to the guy for the effort and hope that tractor beams don't cause cancer..

This weekend we put the Asgard to work for him, and after too many hours of flipping boxes got his rep up to that required for the Hull C missions. For the most part the ship did quite well, a couple of quibbles with the rib in the roof at the front of the cargo grid, but once we figured out how to work around it the mid-level missions went quickly.

Not having enough for a Hull C, and the B not being available, he picked up a RAFT in-game for that superior external grid+tractor beam and happily went back to grinding. The Asgard got it done up to that point, but can't hold a candle to the ease of use of the dedicated haulers. I fully expect to see him running a Hull C in game in a couple of weeks at the profit levels the RAFT is pulling down.

Nice work! Raft does the jpb so much better with it's cargo buff. Dat hull C life is massively overrated = it's a giant pain in the arse ship.
