Buyback token engaged, aye! Here's hoping for some positive changes to gameplay too.
I’m still hoping the powerplant and cooler get knocked down from 1S3 to 2S2. Given the size and power needs neither ship needs an S3 reactor. IIRC, the Triage only uses one side for med beds and has a turret while the Medivac uses both sides for twice the selection of beds. The big deal for me is they both have S3 scan. We’ll have to see what they’ve made of them. Could be the ideal bunker and cave runner.
And news of a new “Battlecruiser” some say is bigger than the Javelin. . .personally, something from Anvil with tighter spaces than the Idris would be welcome. I like the Idris but it has a ton of wasted space—super wide hallways, standard lack of internal storage. Something that builds upon the Paladin in the size just above the Idris would be welcome. “Cruisers” are typically larger than Frigates, more suitable for independent operation. Cruisers can make good armed exploration ships.

The differences between the Triage and the Medivac were considered minimal. Triage was slightly faster due to lighter armor, with no missiles. The Medivac was said to have heavier armor, slightly slower and two small missile hardpoints. Both carried the upper turret as the only guns.
At concept, the two ships were otherwise identical in every other regard. We'll have to see what is actually presented next month.
Ben spoke of the battlecruiser as an item that has had considerable concept work done. I'd guess that Orgs with a Capital Ship construction bay on their Starbase will eventually be able to build it, since it was made clear that even the Bengal will be available that way. Beyond that, no clue. AstroHistorian has covered the ship in some of his video's, with what little has been said.
As the battlecruiser was stated to 'possibly be the last concept sale' CIG plans to do, we can expect to see a a lot of hype before it gets anywhere near player's hands.

Given the lead balloon response to ships with no pilot guns, and CIG’s eventual slaving of some turrets on the Carrack to the pilot, I have to wonder if they won’t throw a pair of S3 to the pilot in the Apollo. Guess we’ll find out soon.
