I was expecting the ship plush from the Citizen Con digital goodies packto be revealed when this was, but it hasn't been. Either the attendees will vote for which plush they want and it will be made at the Convention as with the glowyknife from 2948, or there is a new ship awaiting a reveal...

    Nautilus brochure and related data

Thanks for the interesting info - are mines just going to be for the Ageist Naughtylegs or are there going to be smaller versions for ships like my 350R? I'd like to be able to drop a couple of eggs while running away from people.

You may have a point. You do you, gentlemen, but don't say I didn't warn you - it's a magical place of confusion and contradiction where the rational norma of home need not apply... Here's what Disco Lando made of Wilmslow near Manchester: View: https://twitter.com/i/status/1146151003118538753

The one question on every prospective buyer's mind...

The way they have been able to make missions generate in different places in the PU at the moment it makes you wonder if there is a main story mode the missions system may be adaptive enough to do it no matter what system you start in. Say for instance you start in Terra and the missions for the...

The one question on every prospective buyer's mind...

This sounds right, to be honest. I played the beginning to Elite Dangerous but its tutorial just didn't get me invested in the game. Some randomer rocks up and something or nothing and my ships a pile of crap because it was busted but hang on it's the fastest in the game erm right, now deliver...

Guess the Aegis ship going to be announced in Frankfurt Aug 24th

Sometimes it's the only way. I could continue discussion such as: But really it's all theorycraft right now and as much as I love to discuss, there comes a certain point where you have to sit back and say to yourself "Well they obviously know better than me and so Interdiction won't be in the...

The one question on every prospective buyer's mind...

When they say "First Person Universe" I think that doesn't only mean you have planets and star systems and all the other stuff. You'll have places like Garron II which when you bring it up in the star map will give you its history which obviously effects the current events and atmosphere on the...

    Sticky vs Normal threads

I didn't expect to get an answer to that, however... thats a perfect answer!

Fair enough, guess i'll just have to wait and see how they eventually implement it in the finished game.

Salutations, Decker. Delicious set of quandries. All I can give you is my subjective responses based on my own personal experience and opinion, so your mileage may very on the following: I suppose the reason why I am here is one day many years ago, my parents gave each other a special hug...

    Sticky vs Normal threads

Hi, I just noticed we now have a classification between Sticky and "Normal" threads. While this is a vast improvement on the old system where you couldn't really tell which were stickied and were easy to overlook, I find the term "Normal" to be a gross slur on the excellent caliber of...

Guess the Aegis ship going to be announced in Frankfurt Aug 24th

I would hope there would be some kind of Mine laying autopilot with this ship to make that doable, however if thats not a thing doing it manual might end up living with the easiest, fastest way and living with a hole at the top and bottom :) EDIT - hang about these mines are self-propelled...

9x9 updated to indent the middle top and bottom mines to close up that hole in the sides of the cube that are missing the middle mine that 26 would cover but 24 don't:

Guess the Aegis ship going to be announced in Frankfurt Aug 24th

Okay so with 24 you can have 4 grids of 9 mines per face in a cube shape: EDIT - and no more thsan 5000m from the nearest mines on the top and bottom planes. You could easily move the middle mines on the top and the bottom layers inwards to be able to close those gaps, too...

Guess the Aegis ship going to be announced in Frankfurt Aug 24th

I think I'm focusing on total coverage and how quickly a self guided keg of boom can move... If a ship can be disabled for a few seconds and a mine is close enough, a couple of seconds is all it needs... but that's not bad thinking. TEST Weapons Research Lab is not going to be dry of talent come...

Guess the Aegis ship going to be announced in Frankfurt Aug 24th

I was also trying to work out how to cover all sides if we assume there is a Tactical Asteroid base / other thing we'd need to defend: Not sure how large the item in the middle would be able to be if we assume no more than 10,000m furthest distance from one mine to another.
