If I had to pick right now, 890 Jump without a doubt. I'd never pay for one (with real money), but I would absolutely love to have one to cruise around in. The first time I saw it I thought "personal Star Destroyer" and I haven't been able to get that image out of my head since.
Runner up would...
I managed to get guaranteed beta access without preordering from a humble bundle last week - I'm definitely looking forward to trying it out if I have time. I wanted to play it at PAX, but the line was always stupid.
*cough*
:P
I had my issues with it, but I thought it was excellent overall. Much better spiritual successor to the original trilogy than any of the prequels. I'm happy they didn't repeat the mistake of attempting to explain the full context of the conflict and instead just concentrated on the development...
I'm still at work so can't comment on my DL speed for this patch specifically, but generally with the SC patcher I hover around 15 Mb/s when I turn the limiter off (though I've seen it spike up to around 30 for a short time). Location is Chicago.
I'm definitely crashing a lot more on H (my play sessions range from 10 minutes to like 45 whereas on the previous patch I pretty much had zero crashes) but man the performance is SO much smoother than anything I've had in the game before. Last night was the first time I actually hopped in with...
Alright, I went against my previous statement and picked up a Constellation model. I've been wanting one for a while anyways haha. At least this is a purchase of actual physical goods instead of pixels >.>
Assuming the things they say on the stream sound good, my M50 will be becoming a 350r. That'll probably be it for me, though I'm not counting out grabbing some sort of CCU to use later once the unmelt system launches.
M50 (soon to be a 350r) - Star Stuff
Vanguard Warden - Point and Click
Redeemer - Francis Drake
Constellation Andromeda - Faraday
I also have a Gladius and a Sabre which are so far unnamed.
I don't disagree that $40 is too much, just pointing out that it's way less unreasonable than many have been claiming :)
Personally I'd consider $30 a fair price - to their credit despite it being online only there does seem to be a decent amount of content and everything I've heard thus far...
Not disagreeing with your point, but it's $40. The $60 price point is the "Origins Edition" which comes with assorted extras. Pricey (probably pricey enough to keep me from buying it) but not nearly as outrageous as, for example, Titanfall.
I grabbed one immediately. What's the fun in having spent $1000 on a video game if I can't spend another $10 on a shiny card that I can use to show off my terrible life choices?
You're absolutely right, we don't know exactly how well off CIG is right now. However, we have tons of evidence that indicates they're doing fine, and any suggestions to the contrary are entirely based off of statements made by a couple of alleged former employees who wouldn't have actually had...
