I'm hoping to do high risk / high value cargo and/or transportations with a Freelancer Max. Put all power into engines and just hope I can outrun any pirate. OR... Send the real valuables in my Aurora, and let another Test-members run an armed convoy as decoy. ;)

So much good info for us newbies in this thread. My starter Aurora only had 3 or 6 months insurance so not going to use that for CCU. This little bike will either become a permanent racer or be upgraded to what I want to use as first main ship.

Great! So by using this you can make sure to have LTI on your starter ships once the game is launched... I assume the insurance will be damn needed in the beginning, before you've built cash and experience.

I've been practising to fire a misslie JUST before I crash my Aurora into stuff. All for maximum impact. If there's a fight going on during reasonable hours I'll be there!

Haha I can imagine. Not but I ment if you have 2k REC to spend on a Merlin, then you're set for racing... I cant imagine racing a Cutlass is much worse than the first few races I did in my Aurora... and my attempts to race the Merlin until I understood how to set the flight modes...

Great advice! Bit even if the 7 days start to tick, it's pretty easy to race for REC enough to keep a few canons permanent... unless ofcourse REC gear stops showing in PU.

Ahhh LIT. My Aurora got 6 months. But, knowing how reckless I am, I wouldn't ever fly anything without basic insurance. :) I like having a Merlin on rent in A.C. doesn't matter much there if it lacks the quantum drive. But I won't cash one now. Looked at the Titan too but cargo space seems...

Thanks for good input. Realized racing in AC is "free" if I keep renting a ship. The Merlin is so cheap too... And even I have managed to win races in it so it must be pretty fast. :) For a small hauler I will definitely wait for 3.0 and see if I can get a feel for the cargo system. Most...

My very limited experience so far... the M button that will match speed with your target is damn usefull. It can really help you stick on your enemy's tail to get a few more shots in.. and missiles. From what I've seen so far, it important to have fire power and skill enough to get shots in to...

Both Freelancer and the Cutlass seem to have about the same cargo space. Assuming those numbers are accurate. Besides those, the Hull B or C seem to be very nice options.

Greetings Testers. I'm very new to SC in general and have just figured out how to pilot my Aurora. Now I'm looking into extending my fleet abit, without spending a load of cash. The idea is to upgrade my Aurora into a Reliant Kore and cash in a P-52 Merlin. That would be a total of like 65€ and...
