The game really hates me today. During this run, most of my cargo randomly vanished while I was mining, and then my mining laser disappeared despite not hitting anything. Still, managed to get relatively nice sum for almost nonexistent cargo.

Ha, I've been doing exactly same thing once I figured out how to earn that ore - next to ransacking EVERY single chest in every camp I could. Gotta love this game.
