Brian Edward Cox (born 3 March 1968) is an English physicist and musician. He is a professor of particle physics in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester[2][3] and the Royal Society Professor for Public Engagement in Science.

The “amorphous metals” he’s likening the spectral analysis of 3i to, are metals that are created under special conditions like cryogenic quenching, that stop the metal from forming a metallic lattice and instead form an amorphous structure like glass. It’s very long odds such a thing happens in nature. If you’re curious, search “Liquid Metal”.

Michio Kaku also used the words “alarming” and “terrifying”, and he was much less sedate when he did. His series of videos on 3i are very urgent and emotional by comparison to Cox. You can see the competing notions to be urgent and explicit, and to be calm so as not to alarm

To alarm or not to alarm, that is the question. Cox is explicit here why he is alarmed. We have been observed long before we observe. This reminds of the prologue at the beginning of H. G. Wells’ War of the Worlds:

“No one would have believed in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. Has anyone heard anything suggesting that the vids of Kaku and Cox could be prank vids! I have seen short by both Kaku and Cox where they seem much more relaxed and it makes me wonder whether the more sensational ones could be Ai fakes.

A lot of the drama here is being driven by Harvard physicist Avi Loeb who is arguing that NASA is silent because they’re hiding something, but NASA is shut down because of the congressional budget dispute. So could be these sensationalistic vids of Kaku and Cox are Ai prank vids.

This vid above must be fake. Here’s Cox talking about 3i on the BBC, smiling and happy with none of the seriousness in the vid above. So I have been duped by Ai yet again. At least this time I caught it.
