Of course it is. Our natural gravity means that people will find themselves attracted to us and applying to TEST, just because we posted in their thread.

I don't think I have ever gone on the official forums besides to read patch notes on legit any game I have ever played. I find them to be echo chambers of a small minority of players. Prefer to get real news and discussion elsewhere like Reddit or here for SC as I feel it tends to be more open and helpful overall. Official forums always seem to be "Flavor of the Month Drama" lot's of chest beating for like a week maybe two then folks move on to the next thing to be up in arms about.
