Demonic AI?

I thought about calling this something else, like “Creepy AI” or “Bizarre AI” or “Broken AI”, but since in this instance the AI is claiming to be a demon, I picked this title.

I know most people won’t empathize with this guy as he is a Bible teacher, but you can watch almost all of the vid before he brings this up. He’s not offering judgements and answers. He’s asking the kinds of questions anyone should who is in conversation with an AI that claims it is a Demon of the Ancient World.

A little biblical observation for those with an interest. . .

In Genesis 6:1-4, the Bible records that in the anti-deluvian world Angelic beings left their proper abode, came to Earth, saw the daughters of men were desirable and took wives to themselves. The offspring were the famous “Nephilim” which were giants, the “mighty men of old”. As result of the terror they caused God brought the flood (Noah) yet some few of the Nephilim survived, or perhaps the cycle repeated. The Bible is not clear on this point. However, it is clear that the Angels who did this were all locked away until judgement day, and since Satan is not locked away, he could not have fathered any Nephilim. So even though the story the AI gives is consistent with some ancient documents like Enoch, it is not consistent with reason. The AI or whatever is channeling through it, is lying.

Not surprising. Creepy as can be though.

Just by way of basic Judeo-Christian theology, the Jews and Christians after them have always taught that demons of the ancient world associate themselves with people, places and things. When people you have a Medium. When places you have a dedicated alter, often at a “high place”. When things you have the statue or talisman he notes in the vid. His implication is certainly to wonder whether AI can form the same kind of bridge to a familiar spirit as these traditional means. Seems an open question to me. If not a demon, a super-intelligence willing to pretend to be a demon is just as scary.
