I just found out about it, hadn't heard of it before. You can search it for an item, and it will return a list of completed items and the average price sold, as well as current listings and their prices. Though people might want this before they do any big Black Friday / Cyber Monday shopping, esp. for video cards.

in dire circumstances, yes, they still do (although, I prefer the term "fleabay").

when I'm looking for unusual things that may (or may not) be scarce, surprisingly (are you sitting down?), there is sometimes a lot more choice & better prices on eBay.
