2x S5 guns or 4x S4 guns. Hm. Tough choice. Depending on how armor gets implemented, two S5 guns might even be more desirable for punching up.

This might skew your thinking.

From my understanding, the Guardian and Guardian QI can fit in an Idris or Polaris.

The Guardian MX cannot (it's too tall). Supposedly, it's also has a short range for a heavy fighter, so you might not have the fuel to get to the fight...

Yeah, its a squeeze for the Idris, but still, the coolest fighter we have had in a while.

Don't forget, MX also gives you another S2 shield a S2 powerplant, and an additional cooler.

I upgraded my QI for it. I wasn't using the QD anyway. The MX is pure sexy.

It does fit in an idris. Just enter the landing bay with gear retracted, then extend them. I suggest parking and taking off from the rearmost pad using only the ramp exit, not the front.
