There is only the CCU from the blade to the Vanguard warden. If you plan on CCU this thing, grab it ASAP once the flight ready sale is over there won't be a CCU available...... unless RSI does something.

you can pick up a bunch of $0 CCU's to and from the Vanguard / redeemer

*edit its a pain in the ass, but if you just fill your cart up with to and from CCU's, you can set each to 5 before check out. I am not sure if i would take a Merchantman over a Hull for cargo, but its a option I can take down the road.

ESPERIA BLADE TO VANGUARD WARDEN

I did just get this,
"Upgrade unavailable

Esperia Vanduul Blade is not currently available for upgrade. Please check back later, limited ships can become available during special events."

I got that message for the blade to redeemer, I believe it was.

It's a big pain in the ass. Thankfully, for me at least, all my ships are tied up in one of the multi-ship packs, so I can safely ignore the majority of my hangar.
When you have a multitude pack, I'm guessing you can't melt individual ships from it? That would prevent a lot of movement within the hanger.
But can you upgrade individual ships within that package?

It may be a pain in the butt, however you can go from the warden to other ships. I was just concerned for my fellow testies loosing the ability to get this ship ccud when the time came. Since the warden is going off sale Monday.

Yeah, I picked up 3 of each CCU in either direction for Blade <> Vanguard <> Redeemer, just in case. I was going to use it to CCU an Aquila, but I'm intrigued by the possible storage capability with the folding wings, so I may hold on to it until that's figured out. I wouldn't be opposed to having a Redeemer either, seems like a decent ship. Or maybe I'll turn it into a Reclaimer if/when they come up again? Or maybe I'll just end up CCUing to an Aquila anyways. This is why I like how CIG handles this stuff, leaves a lot of choices open.

I think you are right. I don't think you can pull a single ship out of a pack and melt them individually. I'm pretty sure you can upgrade a ship within a pack though.

The only active Vanguard I have is part of a combo and it let me get a CCU to the Blade for it. So I'm thinking yeah.

I did an upgrade once on a Gladius to a Cutlass Red that I could have sworn was part of some combo but after checking, it's shown as a stand alone ship in the unmeltable area. Not part of a combo. Damn faulty brain I guess.

It does say that it was part of a past Military Sale (36 months of ins). There is a warning with it: "This pledge will contain the ship(s) and item(s) that are listed in the store, and will not include applied ship upgrades." So it looks like you lose the CCU and can't bring it back.

Thanks for posting about the CCU's for the Blade. I had forgotten all about checking for CCU's and picked up a few Vanguard to Blades for safekeeping.

[CONFIRMED] The lowdown on the multipacks is that (1) the ships cannot be melted or transferred individually, but (2) individual ships can be upgraded. Say you have a Hornet in a Battlepack, you could get a Hornet to Freelancer CCU for $0, and when you select "Apply Upgrade", the entire "Battlepack" shows up as a target. When selected, the upgrade MAGICALLY finds its way to the specific Hornet and turns it into a Freelancer. *poof!*

Afterwards though, the rules still apply, the Freelancer is there now and like all the rest can only be turned into something the same price or more (you can only swap it back to a Hornet or into something more expensive). If you ever upgraded one or more of the Battlepack's ships and you want to actually "undo" anything, you would have to ask Support to melt the WHOLE thing and then rebuy it as it was originally. Every applied upgrade will disappear permanently, so you would have to rebuy all the ones you still wanted over again as well. I have heard rumors that Concierge has "restored" individual ships, but that seems unlikely with all the SKU juggling it would likely take.

Hope this helps. :)

Excellent. Thanks. Not that I have a multiship package, but if some of those digital packs go back on sale, I may consider it. Depends on the contents etc.

I made this up a while ago; the newer packs are a much better "value" for ships than the usual store ones, but they contain a lot less perky-type bits. The first value is actual cost, the second in parenthesis is the "value".

Speed Demon Pack - $360 ($375, not LTI)
Archimedes $30
Gamma $55
Delta $65
M50 $100
350R $125

Infamous Pack - $650 ($700, not LTI)
Herald $85
Black $100
Red $120
Blue $150
Caterpillar $245

Alien Pack - $750 ($800, not LTI)
Kore $50
Khartu-Al $150
Merchantman $250
Glaive $350

Blue Collar Pack - $1200 ($1300, LTI starts here)
LX $30
Starfarer $195
Orion $325
Reclaimer $350
Starliner $400

Explorer Pack - $1300 ($1315)
315P $65
Carrack $350
Endeavor (M) $900

Transport Pack - $1600 ($1765)
Hull-A $60
Hull-B $90
MIS $165
Hull-C $200
Hull-D $350
Phoenix $350
Hull-E $550

Armada Pack - $2500 ($2605)
Gladius $90
F7C-M Super Hornet $165
Gladiator $165
Sabre $170
Gemini $240
Warden $250
Retaliator $275
Idris-P $1250

The Armada is the crowd favorite of course, but the Transport has not only the most bang for the buck, it also has a lot to offer in the way of CCU possibilities. Provided we can turn the Hull-E into a Corvette or something. :)
