I realize very little is known in the current game state. But it seems to me that the current Dollar to UEC rate of $1 = 1k UEC would have to increase on release. There's 2 main reason that lead me to this conclusion.
1. It isn't difficult to make 20k UEC per hour with the current alpha. I realize they could still lower UEC per trade/mission but I cannot see it being lowered too much. At this current rate you are making equivalent to $20/hr in game which is above minimum wage for every country. That means no one would ever purchase UEC.
2. I find it difficult that a player would spend $220 to purchase an Aurora. Once again, no one would purchase UEC.
So what if no one purchases UEC? Corporations will never offer products that doesn't sell.
I wanted to purchase a bunch of UEC so I can buy and test different components, if I gain UEC in game it would be wipe with every update so best to purchase UEC. I'm just worried the rate will increase to something like $1 = 10k UEC on release and then my UEC purchases now would be kind of a waste. What are your thoughts?
