I'm just going over some of the data found here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13LzkKzDOKIdrhwL5E2n2Co6THa74A2izxn8lykDuPAk/edit#gid=1304521410
because I as wondering about this rumor from half year ago that the bigger missiles are harder to decoy. If anyone knows what all the columns mean, I would love a tutorial. Does anyone know what "Tracking Signal Amp", and "Tracking Amp Seeking" mean?
Does anyone know how decoys work? Do they actually reduce the signal necessary to stay locked on a target? I looked at the countermeasures tab here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13LzkKzDOKIdrhwL5E2n2Co6THa74A2izxn8lykDuPAk/edit#gid=966365661
and there is no quantity that would just modify the sensitivity column on the first chart.
It is worth noting, from the first of these only a few missiles should be able to turn full circle and reacquire a target. Its interesting that the big S5 Retaliator torps track 360 degrees so apparently they would not even need to reacquire. I don't know how to read the acceleration rotation, but it is conceivable they could take a second pass on something that isn't out at the limits of their range. That would make the Tally much more a threat than one would guess at first.
