I just watched some trailers of SC, finally the Star Citizen Hangar-ready-release trailer:
And I wondered what this music could be? Some licenced music? Some originally composed?
To keep it short: last named it is, originally composed for Star Citizen, on behalf of CIG. The composer is Pedro Macedo Camacho. This is his homepage:

In my opinion, the music of a computer game is like the soul of a living being: without the magic of a heart-warming and/or beating score it's lack of soul. Very fine examples of nicely done compositions are - for me above all - Michael McCanns OST Composition for Deus Ex: Human Revolution; furthermore the breath taking OST of Dragon Age: Origins, the themes of Spellforce 2 which always make me smile, or the hearth warming landscape and theme interpretations within Elder Scrolls: Skyrim by Jeremy Soule and Mark Lampert. Oh, and not to forget the Mass Effect OST and The Witcher (3). And there will be for sure some more.
I was a little bit worried that CIG could neglect this topic, to invest in a breath-taking OST. But since I heard this music of the Starfarer-trailer and heard the compositions on pedros homepage, I think that this could be a nice one to hear - the OST of Star Citizen. :)
What do you think about it, specifically and in general? What means music in computer games to you? Not necessary? Really important? Why?
