This is was mine https://robertsspaceindustries.com/corp/shubin/Nightrider
However I had more copy than was aloud for the form as you are limited to 1000 characters.
I want to follow in my grandfathers space boots ... this is a brief excerpt from his ship logs.

I had traveled under full burn in my MISC Prospector the Gabrielle from Yulin II and passed through the Yulin jump point into the Banshee system without incident. About 2 hours into some promising scans I picked up a weak transponder signal. The signature showed it to be an Orion class mining vessel.
The signal was bouncing from a class three asteroid that dwarfed my ship. It had a stable rotation in the belt. Once I had drifted in through some rather pelting rock and ice masses and closed with the asteroids surface at about 12,000 meters. You could see the rear of her shattered and stressed hull poking out from a massive fissure in the icy surface. It was an Orion alright, but she looked to have taken a full strike to the starboard engine pod as it showed fuel burns and full hull breaches on the outside. She must have lost navigational and thrusters control and spun into this rock with some speed. The front of the Orion was obliterated and the crew must have realized they we toast before impact. However some of the crew must have survived the impact as the main haulage tunnel had been deployed.... there were NO drill marks on the surface, just a bore hole direct into an adjoining crater area. Subsequent scans of the wreckage showed the remaining undamaged storage bins to be full with rare and valuable ore.
Before the Gabrielle received any significant welts from the belt.. I was able to reach the "face" of the tunnel. there I found several smaller holes... we miners call them "Coyote" holes... These were dug by the Orion miners. It looked to be pretty bad working conditions....Near the tractor plant outside the tunnel a stack of six full ore bores had spilled., but looked to be in perfect condition... the sensors showed this would be the pay day I had been waiting for.
