I know, liking Minecraft is not very en vogue nowadays, but SkyFactory isn't really Minecraft. It's a collection of over 100 mods from the Feed the Beast collection that change the game completely, except for the graphics shudder.
You start in a void world with nothing but a dirt block and a tree on it. From there you have to expand by diving deep into the weird world of ftb mods and automation. Basically you start grinding for ressources and automate everything after a while. It's a bit like Factorio in that aspect. After you automated your ressource management you can dive into magic, blood magic, build reactors, or work on the perfect storage system. Wanna build a Wifi for your electric network? No problem. Wanna build a computer? No problem. Wanna fully automate your farm including breeding and slaughtering? No problem.
I have to admit I am a sucker for building/automation games, but the sheer scope of SkyFactory is mind blowing. So if you have an old Minecraft account laying around from 7 years ago, I encourage you to download the Twitch launcher and give SkyFactory a go.
