I am starting a parts list for my next build. Basically building a small-form factor gaming PC as I will be moving around quite often the next few years and need a decent system for it.

I just... can't decide whether I want to wait for the 1100 series to be released or go with a 12GB TItan XP Pascal series card.

I would use it for work, but very infrequently as my main work PC has a Quadro P6000 24 GB card which... way better for work... not that great for gaming.

Edit: Current plan is a intel core i9-7980xe cpu and a 2TB M.2 SSD

Wait. I suspect the 1180ti will be very similar to the current titan in performance, like the 1180 will be similar in performance to the 1080ti. It will also have NV link 2.0, meaning better performance. I suspect this will be a significant jump overall. Especially as the 1180 is expected to be released in 20 days or so, before gamescom.

I'd say wait. If the 1180 doesn't turn out to be anything special, it will still probably cause some price drop. Even if the price drop is insignificant, you can spend the difference on Mooooaaaar Beeeeer! :beers:

I wouldn't bother building a new PC before Xmas TBH.
