Spawning Persistence

I took some time away from the game.

Is there spawning persistence in yet? Every time I log out on a ship bed, when I come back the next day, I’m right back on the planet in the habitation.

Was thoroughly disappointed in the star map functionality. Seems like a lot of the same old bugs from 2 years ago are floating around.

It feels like development hasn’t really done a whole lot in the past year. I’m sure they have, it just feels lack luster.

Persistence in general has gone up and down as they've worked through the process of bringing server meshing into the game code. In point of fact, not a lot of new features have been added in the last 9 months or so because of this. On the flip side of that coin there's been a ton of content added, and some of the most fun group activities the game has ever had. If you've been out 2 years then being able to play in Pyro would be new, along with a lot more missions.


Depending on the health of the server you log out from (i.e. how well it's communicating with backend services) you may or may not come back where you left so no, it's not reliable yet. And there are the usual selection of SC bugs that never quite seem to die.. but for me, stability has been excellent and there have been many hours of successful gameplay.

FWIW, I think I've been 100% on returning after bedlogging so far in 4.1. Something like 7-8 times so far and counting!

I've not had any issues with bedlogging, out of hundreds of logouts. Just have to logout using the ingame prompt, not your Esc menu.

Bedlogging was stable for me too for a while now, always came back to where I was even when I shouldn't have, as planetside landed logging is not supposed to be supported still I think.

Regarding persistance, just a couple of minutes ago I got the QT fuel bug again, where you cross servers and it resets your ships fuel to before you refueled. So you run out in the middle of nowhere.
I tried alt-f4 out and log in again, so it would spawn me back at the last station I landed at for fueling. It won't, it keeps putting me back into my cockpit where I left off, with all my missions and everything else as I left it. Including the zero fuel. Cos it puts me on the same server I quit on.
