Gentlepeople, as we approach the Christmas period it's a good opportunity to reminisce on the year that was!

This is also a call for submissions for end of year content. Let's call it a two-for.

In short, the Testie Times is going to be restarting and although we'd like to get an issue out for Christmas, we are likely to have to wait for January - unless you wordy bastards want to contribute!

We'd love to get your highlights from the year to incorporate (both as written and audio content), and if any of you are interested in contributing on a regular basis please let @mromutt or myself know and we'll invite you into a super-secret club of people who enjoy typing.

Well, i am not sure exactly the type of content you are looking for, but here goes.

The absolutely biggest highlight of my year was my girlfriend accepting my proposal to her.
It took a lot of planning and waiting ( and prodding from her), but on the five year anniversary of us meeting each other at a pair of mutual friends wedding (Marknado, who is also a TESTie, and his now wife) i proposed and she said yes.

It coincided with us starting our 3 week summer vacation, so we had a fantastic summer of love and starting on planning the wedding.


If we are talking highlights in context of Star Citizen, it has to be one of the first times i tried bounty hunting.
I had just bought the Vanguard Sentinel and outfitted it with ballistics, including a gimballed Revanant ( maybe not the most effective, but i really like the gatlings).
I was tracking a couple of bounties i noticed were in the same area, quite close to eachother.

i followed them to one of the moons of Hurston - i forget which one - and started my approach.
they had landed at one of the small outposts in two ships, probably doing delivery missions. One had landed in a Cutlass and shut down and left the ship to go inside the outpost, the other was sitting in the cockpit of his Avenger, shields up and engine running.

Neither of them was paying attention though.
6km out i locked 4 missiles on the Cutlass and let loose before switching to the Avenger. At 4Km i launched 2 missiles at the Avenger and opened up with my guns as the first missiles struck the Cutlass and took out the wing and engine on its left side.

The Avenger exploded with the bounty inside just as i passed over it.

I turned around and scouted for the second target as i flew low towards the small outpost. Suddenly he popped up, running around below, looking up at me. I looked back at him for a few seconds.
then i turned off Gimbal Assist, aimed the revenant at him and opened up, claiming the second bounty.

It really solidified Bounty Hunting as a fun and valid game career for me.
