That looked like fun. I think they should have a purpose for events like this built in the game. Right now, it's just players generating "emergent gameplay". However, if CIG recoginizes events like this and provides incentive to engage in similar gameplay, the game will be so much better for it.

This is how I can see them impementing things like this using their current scope. Lets say there is an abandoned weapons manufacturing plant that was forcibly shut down by the UEE for illegal weapons. It is guarded by UEE npc's and is powered down. CIG, however, puts in a way to start up manufacturing again.

Org A starts a mission line in the system. They pick up the start from some random NPC. It goes from mission to mission getting key codes and access passes to the plant. Starting this mission spawns some other contract missions on the mission board for other players.

Player from Org B picks up a random mission for increased activity in "X" abandoned solar system. They are sent to do some recon (similar to the ICC mission line). They check it out and see a ton of ships in the system from Org A. They report their findings and UEE npc's are put on alert in the area (mechanics wise, UEE will now shoot Org A on site in the vicinity of the plant).

Org A assaults the plant, gears up the manufacturing, and starts making illegal weapons for the purposes of sales on the black market. They have ships standing by for transport and a ton of members guarding the plant. Org B is offered a bounty from the owners of the plant to retake their facility and stop the manufacturing process.

Org B accepts the mission and bounty, gathers their members, and assaults the base. It then becomes a fight for the cargo, successful recapture and control of the facility till UEE shows up, and bounties on all Org A's members. The battle for the plant lasts for a designated period. A timer starts for UEE reinforcements. Org A then has to attempt to get out of the facility with the extremely profitable weapons cargo while Org B tries to gain and maintain control over the area.

This game just has such amazing potential for gameplay like this. I just hope that they put out content that makes these events profitable. Ultimately, that's just about the only way events like this will happen in the full release. I just want to see actual content like this and not the typical "sandbox" excuse for the lack of it.

I agree with everything you said.
I was wondering if anyone had a vid of the battle from our point to view?
