I've found the best place to start is BuzZz Killers maps, grab the download from his Reddit post.

And to use T.A.R.G.E.T GUI, grab my config file which should work with BuzZz Killer's mapping.

My Star Citizen mapping file for keyboard and joysticks is available here if you have any issues - it's what I use.

Used my own variant of Buzz's original configurations since i first had HOSAS. Can up-vote this thread
I now use Joy to Key, as it's much less buggy and is lighter and easier to use than T.A.R.G.E.T

I too have created my own. TARGET can be a bit infuriating but it does work. An interesting artifact from learning this stuff.. if you build a profile in TARGET GUI and run it.. check the memory used by the app.. now copy the code generated by GUI and paste it into the TARGET script editor. when run it seems to occupy approx. 1/4 the memory.

I think I'm going to need to find some configuration files for a T.16000M hotas and rudder pedal setup once the update hits the PU
Man I hope this thread has a long life. I'm in a similar situation with a different device, but I gotta say there is a lot of help in Test. I owe so much beer for the help I've gotten since summer I'd be incredibly broke for a long time if I paid in beer.

And for the record, @August is earning his share and then some. Not just for this.

So I don't have 2 of these sticks anymore but, I think this would apply to using any HOTAS/HOSAS setup. What is the benefit to setting your mapping in the controller's software versus just setting the mapping in the SC options menu? I know that it is easier to set up your dead zones and things of that nature in the controller's software but I have always just used the SC options menu to set my keybinds.

The biggest problem with using SCs own option to map joysticks is (maybe was , havent checked lately) dead zones when using dual sticks. You do not want dead zone on aiming stick (usually right stck), while having a small dead zone on strafing stick is good. The problem is that SC, although having separate 'identifiers' (joystick 1, joystick 2 etc.), the dead zones are in fact the same.. so if you set a dead zone on your strafing stick, your aiming stick now has the same dead zone. So... in TARGET you set both joysticks to one virtual joystick with the appropriate dead zones where wanted.
Even after configuring with TARGET you still need to go in and bind your 'combined' joysticks to the appropriate functions in the keybinds section of options.

TARGET also lets you assign things like Shift, Alt, and Cntrl to buttons on the joysticks, as well as higher numbers Function keys (I like to map those for things like PTT on Discord.)

I didn't bother using target I just went into the options and mapped what I wanted to what I wanted.

Do you have an updated T.A.R.G.E.T config file that matches BuzZz killer's latest mappings? I like joyToKey but feel you have more control over your dead zones and sensitivity in T.A.R.G.E.T.

I use Alvehyanna's Profile

Thats not a T.A.R.G.E.T profile is it? That also looks like it is HOTAS not HOSAS.

I love you for this. I still need to figure out how to map. I've been really REALLY lazy about it.

I reckon that this will be hella useful once I get home and get my hands back in my HOSASAT. Lol. Because all the things are important.

And mapping them is more so. I swear to got, every time I come back to the game I spend a day or two with remapping, even though I've saved my maps, and by the time I'm setup, I'm drained, and don't bother playing.
