Good morning everyone/Hey y'all

We all know star citizen looks like a manifested wet dream and the hardware needed may involve some to upgrade their rigs. that said i'm just wondering what systems are you running now and what do you plan to be running when the game is released ?

I'm running:
Amd 7870 oc,
Amd 965 Be (3.4 quad) bit old i know but runs awesome
8 gig of ram a 90 gig ssd (550/550) and 1 tb storage drive.

I have always been a bit of a amd fan mostly because they have always been the cheapest. but i have really high hopes for mantle but we shall see if mantle is going to be a game changer in December i suppose.

i plan on having
amd 290x at least or something newer
idk newest amd chip or a i7 depending on price.
i want Star citizen on my ssd so maybe a larger ssd
and 16 gb of ram...

what sort of tech do you guys have or what do you plan on having upon release ?

I plan on upgrading my 5-year old workhorse before the release, I don't know what parts i'll get yet as new PC hardware gets released every year.

Same, my trusty machine managed to squeeze out Skyrim, but I fear that will be the last big test it goes through.

I hope to hold out as long as possible, which means I may have issues with the alpha and beta.

I have no idea... By 2015 I'll be sending my current desktop to the basement to be a server and she's run everything I've wanted to play at 40 FPS or higher. I'll be investing $1200 ish in the next one... but I still haven't seen any graphics card remotely close to what I want in the new build.

Short answer: no clue. Long answer: depends on if I have a job and/or what job I have, my time available for gaming, and generally what's happening in my life. Us being at least 1.5 years from release, I have no clue.

Looking forward to putting together my first AMD build this time next year and I am so stoked to start part shopping.

I'll be playing the Alpha/Beta on my laptop
i7-3740QM
GTX680m
16gb DDR3 1600
1tb HHD
256gb SSD <---SC will live here

Will have to see how the controls function with the 360 Gamepad before I consider a HOTAS.

Right now I have:

i7-920
GTX 560
6gb ram
enough HDD space ( I don't know the number, too many DDs to track)

There will definitely be some upgrades coming in the near future, more RAM and new GPU at the head of the list, 6 GB just doesn't cut it anymore, and my 560 is struggling in some games.
