A reminder - New players should not be leaving the game because someone who played ten plus years told them to

Dear new players:

don't listen to the old vets of this game tell you that you shouldn't play star citizen, don't let people in general discourage you from playing any game, especially one like star citizen where so much promise is coming to light however slow it may be

enjoy your time, don't let others school you on your time spent, and have fun.

Ahhh, Mos Eisley spaceport Spectrum. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.

Beyond the obvious salt mine qualities one must tread a fine line between responding to poor behaviour in a positive manner and avoiding the attention of the Mods if while doing that we ourselves step out of line - while their palm has to guide community conduct and hold back the tide of negativity, the back of their hand does sometimes swing in your direction if you feel the need to reign another backer in and fail to retain decorum... But that is what they are there for, being an ass to an asshole is still being an ass.

While we are enjoying their playground, they do know what they are doing with it and have the authority to act - they don't need our assistance, but they do need our eyes as they can't be everywhere at once.

Report posts which are being dicks to people, and if need be step in and shield the target but if you don't want your posts being deleted with a warning that if you keep it up you'll be suspended, it's best you not engage with an aggressor at all and focus on helping the victim, unless you have a lot of experience in demolishing people with words that aren't personal attacks. That's the kind of skill you attain with 20+ years of experience of Forum Flame Wars but that's another subject.
